Given the often erratic schedules of Nicaraguan transport, if you're short of time it's worth considering an organized tour, particularly to remote or difficult to reach areas like the Solentiname archipelago or the RAo San Juan. There's not much choice of tour operators, but the ones that do exist are established and reputable.
