Bergen has a good supply of first-rate restaurants, concentrated in the Bryggen, with seafood a particular speciality. Less expensive - and more fashionable - are the city's cafA©/restaurants, which often double up as lively bars, mostly found to the southwest of Ole Bulls plass, the main pedestrianized square just a couple of minutes' walk from the head of the harbour.
