Bergen has a good supply of first-rate restaurants, concentrated in the Bryggen, with seafood a particular speciality. Less expensive - and more fashionable - are the city's cafA©/restaurants, which often double up as lively bars, mostly found to the southwest of Ole Bulls plass, the main pedestrianized square just a couple of minutes' walk from the head of the harbour. Cultural events are fairly thick on the ground during the summer, with the largest annual shindig, the Bergen International Festival and the NATTJAZZ, held for eleven days at the end of May
