It's easy enough to
walk
around the city centre, but we've given relevant
bus
services where you might want to avoid a longish walk. If you want a
taxi
it's easy to hail one anywhere in the city; rides within the centre cost about $0.8. For a highly recommended service call Taxi Seguro, Pasaje 7 de Junio 200, Mariano Melgar (tel 054/450250) or, second best, Taxi Sur (tel 054/465656); an alternative is the
taxista
Abel Cuba, who can usually be found outside the
Casa de mi Abuela hostal,
who has reasonable fares for trips to the immediate countryside.
