airport
is 2km east of town, and easily reached by taxi for $3-5.
Buses
connecting Chiclayo with Pimental and Lambayeque use the Terminal Terrestre Oeste, on the first block of Angamos, just off block one of San JosA©. Services for all the southern cities - Trujillo, Lima and so on - use the Terminal Terrestre La Victoria on Calle Mochica, where it meets the Panamerica Sur, where there's a waiting area, a left-luggage deposit and a hostal. The centre of town is fine to
walk
around, but if you need a
taxi
try Chiclayo Rent-a-Car, Avenida Grau 520, Santa Victoria (tel 074/229390, fax 237512) which also has offices at the
Gran Hotel Chiclayo
