The
Mercedita Airport
(tel 787/842-6292) is located about four miles east of Ponce on Highway 5506, off Highway 1. American Eagle makes daily trips from San Juan which take around half an hour. A taxi ride into the city centre costs about US$10.
PA?blicos leave from Calle Union, north of the Plaza de Las Delicias in the historic part of town. We've listed pA?blico lines. Ponce has several taxi companies; most reliable is Ponce Taxi (tel 787/642-3370). A free sightseeing trolley tour leaves from the cathedral and runs through the historic district to Castillo SerrallA©s.
