Arriving in George by
air
, you'll land at the small George airport, 10km west of town on the N2. There's no public transport from here into town; most tourists flying in rent a car from one of the rental companies here and set off down the Garden Route. By
train
, Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe services arrive at the Outeniqua Railway Museum, 2 Mission Road, just off Knysna Road (tel 044 801 8202). Intercape, Translux and Greyhound
intercity buses
pull in at George station, adjacent to the railway museum. The
Baz Bus
drops off at the
