Buses
from Chiang Rai and
songthaews
from Sop Ruak stop just west of the T-junction of Thanon Phaholyothin and the river road; songthaews and the one daily bus from Chiang Khong stop on the river road about 250m south of the T-junction near Wat Pong Sanuk. Longtail boats from Sop Ruak dock just south of the T-junction. By bike, follow Highway 110 north to Mae Chan (30km), then bear northeastwards along Highway 1016 for the last 30km.
