National Express and most regional bus services (including the hourly #X8 from Liverpool) arrive at
Chester bus station
, between Delamere and George streets. Most other local buses use the
bus exchange
just behind the town hall, off Princess Street. Merseyrail
trains
from Liverpool (every 20-30min 6am-11pm; 45min) and all other services call at the
train station
, northeast of the centre, from where it's a ten-minute walk down City Road and along Foregate Street to the central Eastgate Clock. There's a
