National Express buses drop you on Victoria Avenue, near the library; local and regional services use the bus station on Station Parade. The train station is on the same street, just a few minutes from all the central sights. Harrogate's tourist office (May-Sept Mon-Sat 9am-6pm, Sun noon-3pm; Oct-April Mon-Fri 9am-5.15pm, Sat 9am-12.30pm; tel 01423/537300) is in the Royal Baths, Crescent Road. Of Harrogate's many festivals , the most famous are the flower shows (second weeks of April and Sept), the Great Yorkshire Show (second week in July) and the Northern Antiques Fair (second half of Sept). There are scores of accommodation options, starting with the B&Bs on King's Road and Franklin Road, north of the centre. Side streets like Studley Road, off King's Road beyond the conference centre, are quieter.
