The best place to
eat
is the
Sunflower
(tel 01721/722420), a tiny, brightly coloured restaurant at 4 Bridgegate, just off Northgate, which does inexpensive hot sandwiches and a few main dishes for lunch, and more adventurous (and slightly pricier) evening meals, for which it's advisable to book.
Tatlers
, on the High Street, is a normal cafAŠ, though it does serve good coffee. As for
pubs

on the High Street, is a cosy place to hunker down; the
