train station

bus station

). Because of Stirling's compact size - barely five miles from the centre to the outermost fringes - sightseeing is best done
on foot
, though to avoid the steep hills you can take the hop-on hop-off
open-top bus tours
(April-Sept 10am-5pm; A?6.50) run by Guide Friday, whose circular route takes in the castle, Wallace Monument, university and the bus and train stations. Actor-led
