Lexington's
airport
is six miles west of town on US-60 W, near Keeneland racetrack (handy for the jets of the horse-breeders). Greyhound drops off about a mile from downtown at 477 New Circle Rd - take bus #3 across the street from the bus station, in front of Wal-Mart, to get downtown. Lex-Tran (tel 859/253-4636) operates a good service from downtown to the university and suburbs, but you need a car to reach the horse-related attractions. The
