bus
to Cape May from Philadelphia and the south Jersey coast, and services from New York and Atlantic City, while
ferries
connect the town to Lewes, Delaware (12 a day in the summer, 6 off-season; $4.50 per person, $18 per car; schedules on 609/886-1725 or book at 1-800/64-FERRY).

) which can also help with finding accommodation. Other sources of information include a small booth in the paved mall at the southern end of Washington Street, and the tiny Chamber of Commerce, in the bus depot, 609 Lafayette St (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm; tel 609/884-5508).
Though Cape May itself is best enjoyed on foot, to venture out a bit further rent a
bike
from the Village Bike Shop near the bus terminal at 605 Lafayette (7am-7pm; $5 per hour, $12 per day; tel 609/884-8500). The Cape May Whale Watcher (tel 609/884-5445 or 1-800/786-5445), at Second Avenue and Wilson Drive, offers three trips around Cape May Point daily: two
dolphin-watches
(2hr; 10am & 6.30pm; $17 and $18 respectively) and a
whale-watching voyage
(3hr; 1pm; $26). Boats leave from an inlet of the Cape May Canal, behind Wilson Drive.
