Heading to HuAŠ, you can the train (6am train is fastest), the bus, a Honda om ($10) or a hire car ($20-30). Local buses for HuAŠ leave from the main Lien Tinh bus station; a tourist bus ($6) leaves daily at 9am and 3pm and will collect you from your hotel. Motorbikes wait outside Da Nang train station to whisk you off to Hoi an (45min; $4-5); by taxi or hire car it's abut $15. Local buses run there from opposite Lien Tinh bus station (every 3hr; 1hr30min-2hr; $1-2). A more comfortable option is the tourist bus, with daily departures ($3). Tourist buses also leave daily at 7am for Nha Trang ($15) and Ho Chi Minh ($25). The Tien Thinh Hotel at 310 Hoang Dieu can help organize tickets for trains and tourist buses.

An overnight bus service runs from Da Nang direct to Savannakhet on the Laos/Thai border (Mon, Wed, Thurs and Sun; departs 7.30pm and can take up to 24 hours owing to long delays at the border; $23)
