buses
drop you 1km west of the town centre. Bicycles (less than $1) and motorbikes ($4-6 a day) are available for rent from Mr My at the stall opposite Kin Kin fabric shop. He can also organize day-trips for $6-8 including motorbike and driver; large motorbikes are prohibited from Tran Phu, Nguyen Thai Hoc and Bach Dang.
Hoi An has plenty of
tour agencies
offering tours, transport, rail and air tickets: try Hoi An Booking Office (also known as
Hai's CafAŠ;
tel 0510/861947) at 23 Tran Hung Dao, or
Hoi An Hotel
at 6 Tran Hung Dao. They all do cars and tourist
minibuses to HuAŠ
($5 per person) and Nha Trang ($10-15 per person); for transport
to Da Nang
hire a car ($8-10) or Honda om ($2-3), as local buses from Hoi An bus station (every 3hr until 4 or 5pm; 2hr; $1-2) take ages and are always overcrowded.

dollar notes and travellers' cheques; and the
GPO
at 5 Tran Hung Dao keeps poste restante.
Internet
access is available at a number of places: the cheapest are Bao Anh, 2 Phan Chu Trinh, and Ho Van Dan booking office, 35 Le Loi (both charge 400d per min). The
Police
are located at 8 Hoang Dieu.
