THESE ISLANDS ARE A BRITISH COLONY SITUATED IN THE
CARIBBEAN SEA. CAYMAN ISLANDS CONSIST OF THREE SMALL CORAL
ISLANDS: GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN BRAC AND LITTLE CAYMAN.

THE ISLANDS ARE MOSTLY LOWLANDS, EXCEPT FOR A CENTRAL
HIGHLAND PLATEAU ON THE CAYMAN BRAC. THIS HIGHLAND
POSSESSES THE HIGHEST PEAK AT A HEIGHT OF 42M ABOVE SEA
LEVEL. ALONG THE ROCKY COASTLINE THERE ARE PLENTY OF WHITE
SANDY CORAL BEACHES SURROUNDED BY THE CARIBBEAN.

ABOUT 20-30% OF THE LAND AREA IS COVERED IN MANGROVE
SWAMPS. NO STREAMS OR RIVERS EXIST ON THE CAYMAN ISLANDS.
THE BANANA, COCONUT PALMS, MANGO AND BREADFRUIT TREES ARE
THE MOST IMPORTANT COMMERCIALLY USED TREES ON THE THREE
ISLANDS.
