GRENADA IS SITUATED IN THE EAST CARIBBEAN SEA. IT COVERS A
TOTAL AREA OF 345 SQ KM. THIS ISLAND IS OF VOLCANIC ORIGIN,
WITH THICK FORESTED MOUNTAINS EXTENDING FROM NORTH TO SOUTH
THROUGH THE CENTRAL REGION. MOUNT SAINT CATHARINE IS THE
HIGHEST PEAK AT 840M ABOVE SEA LEVEL. THE CENTRAL HIGHLAND
AREAS ARE SEPARATED BY NATURAL SPRINGS AND SHORT RIVERS.
GRAND ETANG THE LARGEST LAKE IN GRENADA IS SITUATED IN A
CRATER OF AN EXTINCT VOLCANO. THIS LAKE IS AT 530M. THE
COASTLINE IS GREATLY INDENTED WITH NATURAL HARBOURS, BAYS
AND BEAUTIFUL SANDY BEACHES.
