BANGLADESH IS A VERY LOW-LYING COUNTRY AT THE HEAD OF THE

HEAVY AND FREQUENT. MOST OF THE COUNTRY RECEIVES FROM 1500
- 2500MM OF RAIN A YEAR AND NEAR THE EASTERN BORDER AS
MUCH AS 3750MM. DURING SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER THE COASTAL
AREAS OF THE GANGES DELTA ARE SUBJECTED TO PERIODICAL
FLOODING AS THE RESULT OF VIOLENT TROPICAL CYCLONES.
TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY REMAIN HIGH THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
