BOLIVIA IS SITUATED IN THE CENTER OF SOUTH AMERICA, BORDERED
BY BRAZIL ON THE NORTH & EAST & BY ARGENTINA, PARAGUAY & CHILE
TO THE SOUTH, ALSO BORDERED ON THE WEST BY PERU. BOLIVIA CAN
BE DIVIDED INTO THREE DISTINCT REGIONS: FIRSTLY THE LOWLAND
PLAINS TO THE EAST WHICH ARE LOCATED AT SEA LEVEL. SECONDLY
THE HIGHLAND VALLEYS ARE FOUND IN THE CENTER OF THE COUNTRY
WITH ALTITUDES VARYING BETWEEN 1,000 & 3,000M ABOVE SEA LEVEL.
THE ALTIPLANO IS THIRD REGION AND IS SITUATED IN WESTERN
WITH ALTITUDES AVERAGING 3,500M ABOVE SEA LEVEL.

THE HIGHEST PEAK IS MOUNT NEVADO ILLAMPU AT APPROXIMATELY 6,300M
THE COUNTRY'S MAIN FEATURE IS THE ANDEAN MOUNTAIN RANGE WHICH
IS SPLIT IN TWO IN PERU BEFORE ENTERING BOLIVIA. IN NORTHERN
ALTIPLANO YOU WILL FIND LAKE TITICACA, ONE OF THE WORLD'S
LARGEST LAKES. ITS ONLY OUTLET IS RIVER DESAGUADERO IN SOUTH
WHICH FLOWS INTO LAKE POOPO LOCATED TO THE EAST OF ALTIPLANO.
