Once you've arrived, Egypt is an inexpensive and good-value destination - except perhaps for Sinai and Hurghada, which are pricier than other parts of the country. As a rule, though, providing you avoid luxury hotels or tourist-only services, costs for food, accommodation and transport are low by European standards.
