Opening hours and holidays

Shops
are usually open Monday to Friday 8/10am-6/8pm, though some close for an hour around lunchtime. A few food shops stay open until 10pm and also open on Sunday. Most shops and all banks will be closed on the following
public holidays
: Jan 1; Good Friday; Easter Day; May 1; Mothers' Day (second Sunday in May); June 23 (Midsummer); June 24 (St John's Day); Nov 18 (National Day); Dec 25 & 26; and Dec 31. Other useful information
